The Process
Pre Construction Design, Contract, and Permitting
At Simply Elegant Pools and Spas, we specialize in guiding clients through the initial phases of pool construction. We assist with design concepts, measurements, permits, and necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth start. Proper planning minimizes delays and ensures your backyard transformation aligns with your vision.
While in permitting...
We strongly urge the customer to prepare themselves, their yards and possibly some neighbors for the upcoming construction. This means getting the sprinklers in the backyard cut and capped. Having a conversation or sending a letter to direct neighbors as a courtesy to let them know construction is happening. We work with a number of other professionals that can assist you with preparing your backyard for construction and renovation.
IT'S TIME!! CONSTRUCTION
We begin with stripping the yard of any sod and debris. We then begin the layout. At this phase you get to see the general size, shape, and location of your pool. From there, we move on to dig where we will excavate the pool. After that the steel is installed.
GUNITE
The pool is shot and with Gunite and carved for benches and steps.
DIRT AND FORM REMOVAL
Dirt is removed and graded off around the shell. Forms are stripped and removed.
PLUMBING
All plumbing lines, equipment and electrical conduit is installed

TILE
All waterline tile and step riser tile (if needed) is installed
STEEL FOOTERS
If getting a screen enclosure (also optional if not getting a screen) will be laid out, dug, steel installed, and concrete poured.
COPING AND DECK
Coping, pavers , travertine deck or concrete decks will be installed or poured. If getting a concrete deck, cantilever coping will be poured along with the deck.
SCREEN ENCLOSURE
The screen enclosure will be erected and screened in.
PLASTER AND WATER
The day everyone is waiting for! Plaster finish goes in and start filling the pool!!
FINAL GRADE AND CLEAN UP
As with any construction, there will be some things to clean up and do the final grading of the backyard.
